Historic Garden Week
April 23 - April 30
Join us for a week-long celebration of Virginia’s beautiful gardens and landscapes during Historic Garden Week! This year’s event will showcase some of the most breathtaking and historic gardens throughout the state.
One of the highlights of the event is Flowerdew Hundred, a stunning estate that is also featured on the cover of our promotional materials. This magnificent property is located on the banks of the James River and is home to a variety of unique and beautiful gardens, including formal parterres, a boxwood knot garden, and an English rose garden.
In addition to Flowerdew Hundred, we will be showcasing a variety of other historic and modern gardens throughout the region. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour private homes and gardens, participate in educational programs and workshops, and enjoy a range of other garden-themed activities.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply appreciate the beauty of nature, Historic Garden Week is an event you won’t want to miss. Come explore the stunning gardens of Virginia and learn about the state’s rich horticultural heritage.
