Fort Lee Redesignation Ceremony

Fort Lee, a historic military installation located in central Virginia, is set to be redesignated as Fort Gregg-Adams in a special ceremony on April 27th, 2023. The new name honors Brigadier General John Gregg and Private First Class James Adams, two courageous soldiers who made significant contributions to the U.S. Army and fought for our country’s freedoms.
The redesignation ceremony will be a historic event, featuring guest speakers and military demonstrations to honor the legacy of Fort Gregg-Adams. Attendees can also take guided tours of the base and its facilities, and learn more about the rich history of the U.S. Army.
Fort Gregg-Adams is a vital military installation that serves as the home of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command, and the U.S. Army Quartermaster School. It has been a cornerstone of military education and training since its founding in 1917, and continues to be a critical hub for Army logistics and sustainment operations.
