The newly built first installment of the Hopewell Riverwalk is a lovely spot for outdoor recreation. Stroll along the 3/4 mile boardwalk and soak in a sunset, watch the eagles soar and the ospreys fishing. You can also bring a fishing pole and hook a big cat, picnic under the pavilion, let the kids run wild on the playground. Part of the Appomattox River Trail, Phase 2 of the Riverwalk will soon begin construction and extend under The Boathouse at City Point and connect to the Hopewell Marina.
