The Hopewell City Marina offers a variety of amenities to meet all of your boating needs! Conveniently located on the Appomattox River, the Hopewell City Marina is only a mile away from the James River and offers some of the best fishing and recreational boating opportunities in the region. The marina has a four-lane boat ramp with floating docks, transient boat slips (NEW), pump-out station, large paved parking lot, open and covered slip rentals, kayak launch, fishing area, self service ice dispenser and public restrooms. We are a favorite destination for fishing tournament which happen year round.
During September, we host two signature events. Rivers and Roads Fishing Tournament and Community Festival and FOLAR’s 17th Annual Paddle-or-Battle, a kayaking and paddle boarding event.
